One Year Position in Chinese Religions at Mount Allison University

The Department of Religious Studies at Mount Allison University invites
applications for a one-year, full-time, term appointment in the area
of Eastern Religions. The desired area of specialization is in Chinese
Religions and Culture. The department has a particular interest in
applicants with experience in ritual studies, material culture and/or
the engagement with modernity.

The successful candidate will teach introductory and advanced-­‐level courses including courses such as "Introduction to Eastern Religions" and "Religions of China," as well as some intermediate-­‐level courses in the area of his or her own specialization. The ability to teach an additional course in Japanese Religions would also be an advantage. Applicants should possess a Ph.D.,
or be near completion. The appointment will be made at the rank of
Lecturer or Assistant Professor and will commence July 1st, 2011,
subject to budgetary approval. A letter of application, complete
