Abstract

The article discusses the influence of Om Mani Padme Hum or Buddhist Mantra in the revision of Daoism, a Daoist philosophy. It states that the mantra version demonstrates Buddhist modification to Daoist practices through cosmicization. It mentions that the mantric syllables were translated to Daoist syllables to create a variant intonation. Moreover, Buddhist mantra is a potent Daoist practice derived from a Buddhist approach which highlighted the mutual connection between two traditions.
